Medical information disclaimer
The articles and other health information on this website are general education only — not medical or dental advice.
General information, not advice
The articles, frequently asked questions and other health information on this website are general educational information about teeth, root canal treatment and related topics. They are not medical or dental advice, and they are not a diagnosis or a treatment plan for anyone.
No doctor–patient relationship
Reading this website, or contacting us through it, does not create a doctor–patient relationship with Rockland Endodontics, in Pearl River, New York, or with Northern Jersey Endodontics, in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. That relationship begins only when you are seen and examined.
Not a substitute for an examination
Every tooth and every person is different. Only an examination by a dentist or endodontist — usually with X-rays — can show what is causing your symptoms and what treatment, if any, you need. Please don't delay or skip seeing a dentist because of something you read here.
Information may be out of date
Our articles were written over many years — some more than a decade ago — and each shows the date it was first published. Dental science, techniques, materials, guidelines, statistics, insurance and prices change over time. Some older articles carry an editor's note, but we can't guarantee that every article reflects current knowledge.
No warranties
The information on this website is provided “as is”. Neither Rockland Endodontics nor Northern Jersey Endodontics makes any warranty, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness or usefulness of this information, and neither practice is responsible for any decision made, or action taken or not taken, based on it. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we don't control or endorse their content.
Your own care
For advice about your own teeth, contact your dentist, or call the practice nearest you — the phone numbers for both practices are at the bottom of every page.
Emergencies
In a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. That includes swelling that spreads toward your eye, neck or the floor of your mouth, trouble breathing or swallowing, a high fever with dental pain, or a serious injury to the face or head. Don't wait for an online reply or a call back.
